Henry's World Famous Hi-Life

It was our first time here. We had to wait a while to get seated but when we finally did it was a very nice experience overall! The food was so delicious! The waiters were amazing! They all made sure you were well taken care of. If you have never tried I strongly recommend. Everything was perfect! We would definitely come back here again.

Wildly busy before events. Cocktails are solid, the crust of people make servic a a little slow! But, the ribs were good! We'll be back

Very elegant and convenient place. They serve generous meals and for reasonable prices. We liked the meals very much and the staff were very affable and chatty. Recommended.

There is a good steak house in local style. It is a good restaurant for dinner with my colleagues. Specially breads are also delicious and also source.

Great place. Great service. Great food. The menu is on the wall when you walk in and they take your order before calling your name to be seated. We both had a ribeye that was perfectly medium rare as ordered. There is some bread served with a zesty BBQ sauce and mushrooms and baked potato sides. All in all a great night!

The place is really cool and service is great, and prices are reasonable for the Bay Area, but the food itself was good, not mind-blowing. Ribs were a bit dry, prime rib was only flavorful from the seasoning...

Most excellent. Great food and you will never leave hungry. Going to a Sharks game, hit this place up first and walk to the game. Get there early and be prepared to have a couple drinks before you eat as it is very popular.

First time coming here and it did not disappoint! The service was great as well as the food! Everyone was friendly, including the guest. Small venue but so worth the wait. Definitely not going to be my last time here!

It’s just OK. We eat there when we have guests from out of town because it’s a piece of San Jose history and the location is primo. 5 stars for character and rustic charm. Prices are the best part, $12-20 lunch. Food is so-so and you leave there smelling like you were behind the smoker all afternoon.

Best ribs and chicken BBQ ever, the staff are pleasant and efficient. I am never disappointed! I love the atmosphere.

I think this place is over rated! Bar was very cool! But prices were high there too. We ordered chicken and ribs. I have had better.

SCU students have flocked here for decades. In the 70s...it was simple fare, low price and better than the cafeteria...50 yrs later still buzzing..

I have always seen this place but never visited. Our friend invited us me and wife and had ordered N.Y. steak. Good steak but all you get with the steak is a potato and a small salad small. Lots of people small place. Over all its was ok. Service was good and people were friendly. Thanks Henry

VERY crowded during peak hours. You pick up a number and place an order when called, but you wont be seated until your food is about ready. Got steak and ribs during my visit. Filet Mignon was cooked as ordered (medium rare) but was still a bit tough and dry -- could use some more seasoning or sauce. Ribs were very tender and sauce was great. Both entrees came with baked potato, garlic bread, and salad. All the sides were pretty good. There's on street metered parking, but also a small free parking lot nearby on the small street.

I arrive at this outstanding restaurant once a month because I like the ambiance that is characterizes this restaurant. The personel is extremely cordial and well trained. The service is certainly quick. Most important, the food you get is exceptionaly good. I visited many times and I was always pleased. The rate is fair. I recommend this restaurant to to all.

This is the best baby back rib I have ever had!!! BBQ source is super ultra wonderful great! Fresh vegetables and bread are also very good~ The staff is very nice and friendly. Thank you very much~

I went there for the first time, teriyaki steak was amazing! Good place to take family, my grandson was amazed at the pic on the wall of his great grandfather.

Simply, I like good spare ribs and Henry's is a winner about ribs. Sometimes the lines are a bit long but it's worth it on occasion. You may have to look for parking.

This was a fun spot before the game at Levi Stadium. Paula the bartender is the best. She was super welcoming. We went back after the game and another bartender was super friendly (dude with ponytail). Awesome experience all around. They were wonderful. Only downside of this place was the big bartender. He was nowhere near the caliber of the rest of the staff there.

Been there a couple of times and had a really good time.You can start your night with a drink at the bar while they cook your order in the back. You'll get seated when you're order is ready. They do meat and some fish only but they know what they are doing. Everything is perfectly cooked and served the second it's supposed to.The wait can be a little long Friday-Sunday, especially if you don't order anything at the bar but it's well worth it!I'll be back for more celebration there!

Best BBQ in the Bay Area! That simple.Large portions with salad and baked potato and bread. The chicken & ribs will give you a full meal for two (or two days) and a nice overview of this place food.Expect a long line (especially during Shark games nights) so just grab a red number and get a drink at the bar.A taste of Americana right here in the bay. A tradition in the making.

Best steak I have ever tasted! What's more is that the place was packed, yet the service was terrific. They had this down to an art.

This place is historical and fun. On the night we went it was filled with Shark hockey fans. Go hungry!! Meat, meat, and more meat with large salads, potatoes, and delicious garlic broccoli. A real taste of old San Jose.

We went there for dinner. It was my first time. Waiting didn't take long since i was occupied by watching sports at the bar and we got there when dinner opened. Their setup is different where you order your meal before they sit you down. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. I definitely will come back. I gave 4 stars only because they didn't have desserts. Service was outstanding. Oh yeah....they lack parking thank goodness we got there when dinner opened.

My 1st time here, loved the craft beers on tap. And their ribs are the best I've had anywhere so far.

Excellent Restaurant!! Great steaks and bbq. The garlic bread is simple and delicious. Long time customer and I highly recommend giving it a try!! Beware if anything is happening at the SAP center this place gets packed! Come early or expect a 45 min or longer wait.

Price vs quilty is questionable long wait in bar is a traditional part of this eatery staff is upbeat and attentive

Steak is pretty good, well prepared the way i expected. Meat quality deserve the price but not to ranking at 5 star. It's not Alexander s , it's not ranking as fine dining. Very good service, but noisy like in a bar, it's a bar anyway. A place for adults family, coworker hang out, friend socializing. Romantic date, go somewhere else. A better steak than outback. Had a good dinner with my coworker. Definitely come back
